Firmly rooted in the west, Daryl W. Peterson generally centers his art around western history. Herding cattle from his childhood over the tepee ring riddled hills of the northern Wyoming badlands. To farming and ranching the land his Great Grandfather homesteaded in the late 1890's. He grew up admiring the unique animals and conditions that make up Yellowstone National Park and surrounding area. He specializes in accurately detailed features in his art, perfecting these techniques over the 20 plus years he has been sculpting. Surrounded by the relics of his families western heritage, he was ingrained with a realistic view of life which has influenced his art.
